Governor Vacancies

Vacancy: Parent Governor

Vacancy: Co-opted Governor

School governors make a valuable contribution to children’s education, opportunities and futures. We currently have a vacancy for a co-opted governor and a parent governor. If you think you might be interested in joining our friendly team, please contact us as soon as possible!

Being a school governor is a challenging but hugely rewarding role. It will give you the chance to make a real difference to children, give something back to your local community, and use, and develop, your skills in a board-level environment.

There is no requirement for you to have an understanding of the early years education system, just the necessary skills, character and time to contribute. There is plenty of training available to help you learn about early years education.

The term of office would be four years as a Co-opted Governor and two years as a Parent Governor. Many of our governors choose to serve multiple terms, however, as a volunteer, you can resign before your term is finished, if your circumstances change.

Governors must be prepared to adopt the Nolan principles of public life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership.

If you are interested in applying, or know someone else who may be keen to become a governor, please contact – Helen Dummett (Executive Head Teacher) before 19 December 2023.
