Orchard Room - 2 Year Old Provision

We offer sessions for both funded and paid  2 year old places. 

 

Funded two year old places:
Families in receipt of one of the following benefits are eligible for a free early education place for 15 hours a week, term time only, for their two year old. Children can take up their place the term after their second birthday.

This can be taken up as one of the following options:

Option 1   15 hours term time only (38 weeks)
5 morning sessions (9.00 am - 12.00 pm)
Option 2   15 hours term time only (38 weeks)
5 afternoon sessions (1.00 pm - 4.00 pm)
Option 3  -  15 hours term time only (38 weeks)
2½ days (9.00 am-3.00 pm full days and either ½ day 9.00 am-12.00 pm or 1.00 pm-4.00 pm)

Eligibility for funded two year old place:

* Income Support
* Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA)
* Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
* Universal Credit - if you and your partner have a combined income from work of £15,400 or less a year, after tax
* Tax credits and you have an income of £16,190 or less a year, before tax
* The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
* Support through part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act
* The Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)

A child can also get free early education and childcare if any of the following apply:

* They are looked after by a local council
* They have a current statement of special education needs (SEN) or an education, health and care (EHC) plan
* They get Disability Living Allowance
* They have left care under a special guardianship order, child arrangements order or adoption order

Paid for 2 year old places:

We recommend that paying 2 year old children attend nursery for at least 2 sessions a week, as we find this helps them to settle more easily. Prices and times for sessions are as follows:

Breakfast Club: 8.00 am - 9.00 am £7
Morning:    9.00 am - 12.00 noon £21
Lunchtime: 12.00 noon - 13.00 pm £7 (parents to provide a packed lunch)
Afternoon: 13.00 pm - 16.00 pm £21
After School Club: 4.00 pm - 4.30 pm £4

Woodlands - 3/4 Year Old Provision

15 hours entitlement:

All children are entitled to start 15 hours a week, 38 weeks a year, the term after their 3rd birthday.
Option 1 -  15 hours term time only (38 weeks)
5 morning sessions (8.30 am - 11.30 am/9.00 am - 12.00 noon )
Option 2   15 hours term time only (38 weeks)
5 afternoon sessions (12.30 pm - 15.30 pm/13.00 pm - 16.00 pm)
Option 3  -  15 hours term time only (38 weeks)

2½ days (8.30 am - 14.30 pm with ½ day  starting 8.30 am/ 12.30 pm)

2½ days (9.00 am-15.00 pm full days and ½ day starting 9.00 am/13.00 pm) 

 

 

30 hours entitlement:

 You can usually get 30 hours free childcare if you (and your partner, if you have one) meet the criteria below. At George Dent Nursery School we offer a number of options for those entitled to 30 hours:

Option 1 - 30 hours term time only (38 weeks)

5 days (9.00 am-15.00 pm) 

Note: Children will require a packed lunch

3½ days (3 full days 8.00 am-16.30 pm and either ½ day 8.00 am-12.30 pm or 12.00 pm - 16.30 pm 

Note: half days include lunch - children will require a packed lunch. 

Option 2 – 30 hours stretch (50 weeks)

3 days (8.00 am - 16.00 pm/8.30 am - 16.30 pm)

Note: Children will require a packed lunch

Eligibility for 30 hours:

* In work - or getting parental leave, sick leave or annual leave

* Each earning at least the National Minimum Wage or Living Wage for 16 hours a week - this is £125.28 if you're over 25
* This earnings limit does not apply if you're self-employed and started your business less than 12 months ago.

You're not eligible if:

* Your child does not usually live with you
* Either you or your partner has a taxable income over £100,000
* You are from outside the EEA and your UK residence card says you cannot access public funds
* If you foster your child, you cannot apply online for 30 hours free childcare. Speak to your social worker and your local authority if you want to apply.

You can get 30 hours free childcare at the same time as claiming Universal Credit, tax credits, childcare vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare.

If you cannot work you may still be eligible if your partner is working, and you get Incapacity Benefit, Severe Disablement Allowance, Carer's Allowance or Employment and Support Allowance.

Paid sessions: 

Parents can also add to their child's funded sessions, by paying for extra hours. We accept cash, cheques, bank transfer, childcare vouchers, Tax Free Childcare and Childcare Grants for parents in Full Time Higher Education. Prices for additional sessions are as follows:

Breakfast Club: 8.00 am - 8.30 am £4
Breakfast Club: 8.00 am - 9.00 am £7
Morning:  8.30 am-11.30 am or 9.00 am - 12 noon  £21
Lunchtime: £7 per hour  (parents to provide a packed lunch)
Afternoon: 12.30 pm - 15.30 pm or 13.00 pm - 16.00 pm  £21
After School Club: 15.30 pm -  16.30 pm £7
After School Club: 16.00 pm - 16.30 pm £4
Hourly rate: £7
